Growing up in the town of Mendon, Massachusetts on the shores of Lake Nipmuc, a town steeped in rich history of Nipmuc Indians, I necessarily wrote a fiction book including Nipmuc Indians, based on accurate history. This book should not to be missed on the list of must read books. People all ages have enjoyed this time travel back into yesteryear, where Grammy Rose along with her two daughters and four grandchildren get split up in Old Sturbridge Village during the Christmas by Candlelight Gingerbread House making contest.

How many people know that the Algonquin bands of Indians in this area were called Nipmuc Indians? Their territory was known as Nipnet, which extended as far north as Vermont and New Hampshire borders, and south into Rhode Island and northeast Connecticut.

Learn the history of Morgan horses, their characteristics and nature and how they were used in American Colonial times.

Half of Brie and Grammy Rose’s family discovers the history of the Underground Railroad that was also alive and well in 1830’s in the Sturbridge, Worcester and Northampton, Massachusetts area. The grandchildren learn how the Religious Society of Friends Quaker Meeting Houses took the lead in promoting human equality, human rights, and even women’s rights in their critical work in the Underground Railroad.

Harriet Tubman’s famous role is highlighted in this book. Harriet Beecher Stowe was also so moved by the prejudice and unfair treatment of other human beings, that she wrote Uncle Tom’s Cabin. Both characters play a role in reviving history, which should not be forgotten. Without conscious awareness of history and its prejudices, history is bound to repeat itself.

Antediluvian history is also addressed in this fiction work addressing issues that continue to affect us today. Travel back in time through the use of age-old keys in antique books found in a secret, hidden library in Old Sturbridge Village, to meet Noah, his family and misadventures with the infamous Nephilim.

See how the sons of Noah populate the earth through the famous world empires in an interesting tale of possibility, shedding new light on old subjects.

The history of Christmas, how Christmas really came to be, and how it evolved with today’s traditions is finally revealed. Grammy Rose’s thirteen years old granddaughter, Brie, gets to babysit baby Jesus via the time travel keys, as well as get to meet the Magi. This is a wonderful, educational book that should be on everyone’s reading list.

White Supremacy and Slavery vs Abolitionism and Freedom of Slaves in the USA is Featured in MYSTERY OF THE STURBRIDGE KEYS

White Supremacy fueled the start of the Civil War in the United States of America. The human ideal of the Union States of the North that people did not own people, won the war with the Confederate States of the rebel South who had years of slave holding heritage. During these years, the Underground Railroad was alive and well in the greater Sturbridge, Worcester, Northampton, area.

The Underground Railroad began in 1780. By the time reflected in the living museum at Old Sturbridge Village in Sturbridge, Massachusetts, 1830’s, the safe houses, called stations, were well traveled by Harriet Tubman and her soon to be freed former slaves.

Although slavery was not legal in the northern states, if a southern slave owner came looking for his runaway slaves, there was a penalty for people of the North who helped the fugitive slaves escape, since slavery was legal in the south.

Meet Harriet Tubman who led the way for over 300 former slaves; and Harriet Beecher Stowe who was so upset by the idea that people owned people and treated them unfairly, that she wrote about “Eliza,” based on a slave girl she had met.

Read about former Presidents Andrew Jackson, Abraham Lincoln, Martin Van Buren, the Battle of 1812, and the Seminole Indian Tribe at the time in Spanish Florida.

Meet Robert Carter III, a wealthy and prominent member of the planter class in Virginia, who owned hundreds of slaves going back to 1791. Carter had a change of heart and later released many slaves as freed men and women. He was so wealthy that President Jackson borrowed money from him, and President George Washington’s nephew proposed to Carter’s daughter.

Former President Jimmy Carter is a descendant of Robert Carter III, who was also known as King.  Carter III descended from William Strother, on his father’s side. Everyone at that time knew Carter III was descended from English royalty, going back to Charlemagne and William the Conqueror, and many other English kings. Presidents Zachary Taylor and John Tyler were also defended from Strother. President Jimmy Carter is also related to President Barack Obama. They are eighth cousins.

History has a way of repeating itself when we do not take heed of the lessons of the past.

This is a must read for people of all ages. This is a book based on accurate history, ancient history and Bible history. It is available in softcover at $13.00, and as an EBook at $3.99. http://www.iuniverse.com/Bookstore/BookSearchResults.aspx?Search=Mystery%20of%20the%20Sturbridge%20Keys
