Growing up in the town of Mendon, Massachusetts on the shores of Lake Nipmuc, a town
steeped in rich history of Nipmuc Indians, I necessarily wrote a fiction book including Nipmuc Indians, based on accurate history. This book should not to be missed on the list of must read books. People all ages have enjoyed this time travel back into yesteryear, where Grammy Rose along with her two daughters and four grandchildren get split up in Old Sturbridge Village during the Christmas by Candlelight Gingerbread House making contest.
How many people know that the Algonquin bands of Indians in this area were called Nipmuc Indians? Their territory was known as Nipnet, which extended as far north as Vermont and New Hampshire borders, and south into Rhode Island and northeast Connecticut.
Learn the history of Morgan horses, their characteristics and nature and how they were used in American Colonial times.
Half of Brie and Grammy Rose’s family discovers the history of the Underground Railroad that was also alive and well in 1830’s
in the Sturbridge, Worcester and Northampton, Massachusetts area. The grandchildren learn how the Religious Society of Friends Quaker Meeting Houses took the lead in promoting human equality, human rights, and even women’s rights in their critical work in the Underground Railroad.
Harriet Tubman’s famous role is highlighted in this book. Harriet Beecher Stowe was also so moved by the prejudice and unfair treatment of other human beings, that she wrote Uncle Tom’s Cabin. Both characters play a role in reviving history, which should not be forgotten. Without conscious awareness of history and its prejudices, history is bound to repeat itself.
Antediluvian history is also addressed in this fiction work addressing issues that continue to affect us today. Travel back in time through the use of age-old keys in antique books found in a secret, hidden library in Old Sturbridge Village, to meet Noah, his family and misadventures with the infamous Nephilim.
See how the sons of Noah populate the earth through the famous world empires in an interesting tale of possibility, shedding new light on old subjects.
The history of Christmas, how Christmas really came to be, and how it evolved with today’s traditions is finally revealed. Grammy Rose’s thirteen years old granddaughter, Brie, gets to babysit baby Jesus via the time travel keys, as well as get to meet the Magi. This is a wonderful, educational book that should be on everyone’s reading list.
